@DreadRaptor85 Blu-ray > HD DVD > DVD > VCD > VHS > CBHD = Trash.
If you don't know what is CBHD, then I tell you now, it's a piece of crap! Ok, actually they are basically the exact copy of HDDVD, but it's chinese.
Remember: Never Buy CBHD, we don't want to start another format war.

Just meant you need a high definition monitor or TV to take full advantage of the blu ray anyway, so it's not really for my budget at the moment.

They are quite damn pricey, but I don't even have a 1080p monitor to begin with. I'd rather spend that 130ish dollars on a dedicated sound card.

I'll install a blu ray player in my computer when they're about the same price as current DVD burning drives.
