  • I'm not from L.A. but I still find the arguments compelling. I'm a Christian, but I'm very aware of the hypocrisies of organized religion that Dykstra point out. How can you justify being simultaneously pro-gun and pro-war -- but also be pro-life? How can anyone claim to live the examples of Christ and yet condemn gays and lesbians? Hate the sin not the sinner is an irreconcilable dichotomy because it posits homosexuality as a choice -- which it's not.

  • The hypocrisy of the Judeo Xian right wingers was wholly offensive in every way. I love him. If Jesus came back today, the neocons would string him up.

  • Dykstra sneers at hypocrisy of ideological enemies but ignores his hypocrisy in using Christ's teaching to justify the sins Christ condemned. Christ was pro-life and anti-sin. Obedience to his law means life eternal. His invitation to "Repent" was relentless and absolute. His death and resurrection attest he loves the sinner, but he also hated sin. But he lived, loved, taught, and died not to justify sinners in their sins but to transform sinners (humans) into saints.

  • @DEPoetically plus im telling you if my son or daughter was killed by someone who psychologically sees killing as a sport or hobby i would personally rid the world of his evil

like the kid who was mauled by a killer dog (trained by the owner to kill, mind you) and the mother of the kid who said it was an accident because the owner of the dog was actually her husband

who gives her the right to defend this killer

i dont care if your pro choice and you believe the mother owns the kid

  • @DEPoetically look if your son was killed by a child rapist and it was found that killing him wasnt the worst thing the guy did or if a man killed a dozen children with an axe and buried their bodies under his cottage (Changeling) would you even CONSIDER giving this guy another breath of fresh air

air that wasnt given to his victims when he decided that their lives should be taken so quickly sometimes death is the ultimate justice and the best way to give families of victims closure

  • reminiscent of hicks....

  • @ali921812 ok but like he said there are those that speak "every life is sacred", how if you are for killing someone that has killed someone else. how much better are you? realistically you (at that moment) have the same mentality as they did. I'm sorry you cant "save the baby's" then turn around and say "kill that asshole!" be serious.

  • @DaphneOb you would be 2 your views are influenced by the society you live in and if you lived and were born in the south in those times you would be just as much a slave owner as any other white supremacist shitface it takes one individual mind to change the world one creative and determined mind. not a sheep that agrees with a comedians jokes whole heartedly without finding any error in it. society made you a liberal so this comedians liberal views are cool 2 u

  • @rbyronp

    1) you cant be religious and be pro war

    2) to be pro death penalty and pro life is not hypocritical because when you are talking about the life of an innocent and sinless baby on one hand and the life of a serial killer rapist on the other there is an obvious distinction between the 2 you call this hypocrisy of religion when its hypocrisy of southern republican conservatives this again has an obvious distinction so shame on you for confusing 1 for the other

  • I love you :)

  • I am a Christian and a conservative. I don't want to beat anyone to death or demand gay and straight drinking fountains, so while this illustration may make an L.A. audience swoon, it is obviously not powerful or accurate. Using the law to prevent gay marriage is a waste of effort. I wouldn't comment here about gay marriage. This comment is about Christian stereotypes. Most Christians want to do right. This is someone saying what is fashionable.
