@ionFreeman these Kettlebells used at WKC Championships were not "first place" brand kettlebells made by Perform Better. these Kettlebells were designed by Valery Fedorenko and are a better quality kettlebell. The "first place" kettlebells have slightly thicker handles. "first place" KB's are cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Valery currently designed a newer better model called the "Performance Kettlebell". check out the store at worldkettlebellclub

Also, look at plate and barbell size for weight lifting/powerlifting. since they are more widely known, this question doesn't come about. when kettlebell competitions become more recognized that will be the case.

good question. They have been decided for international competitions from 1980. The different kettlebells that we see now are a repeat trend from Russia back before 1980. These are professional standard by performance and safety.

This may be a little off topic, but I feel like I'm seeing the same brand of Kettlebell in all the videos. Are they First Place? Why are they so popular?
