Erik (Jelmer x Frans, stam 40) is, like Wander 352, from the little used Ritske line of stallions. This makes him desirable as a breeding stallion since his offspring broaden the gene pool. Erik is a pretty, dark stallion, baroque in appearance and with that harness horse kind of movement. Erik is well-behaved and dedicated to his work (and he passes a strong work ethic to his offspring). This video is from 2004 in Lexington VA, 4th Level, Test 2. Rider/Owner Mary Alice Malone. I added the music just to make it interesting.

By Frans 289, now That was a great stallion. My friend had the pleasure of being the last Friesian Farm to steward to Frans before he died, it's amazing how much Erik looks like his daddy! =^.^=

Yes, I apologize to the musical artists. I try to be much better in crediting them now. This song is called "Emily's Reel" and is from a wonderful album called "Heartland- An Appalachian Anthology". The artists on this tune are Bela Fleck, M. Marshall and E. Meyer. I am from SW Virginia and I happen to enjoy traditional music very much. Which is why a lot of my videos have banjo and stuff in them.
