Avon Valley Railway - Timetable A with GWR 2-8-0T No 4247 - 20/11/11

Sunday 20th November brought an extra running day to the Avon Valley Railway. This was due to the arrival of GWR 42XX Class No 4247 to the line fresh from overhaul at the Flour Mill in the Forest of Dean, and was now in its new livery of British Railways unlined black rather than its previous GWR Green livery. The loco would be operating the standard Timetable A, which would see five round trips between Oldland Common and Avon Riverside.

Nice video Adam, thumbs up. Lovely sound from her at 0:58 as the driver outs the regulator back on, and you got the two tone whistle as well, I only got those when I wasn't filming lol

@letmadnessbegin Cheers Kristian, I was lucky with the two tone, I was on the verge of stopping recording but realised they're gonna whistle in a moment, and as luck would have it, two tone!

I do some volunteer work at the Bodmin and Wenford Railway where 4247 is based. She's a lovely loco and it's nice to see her on some slightly longer trains than are run at the BWR. Great Video !
