Liberals should stop supporting gun control

Okay, here is an issue I just don't understand. Why is it that so many liberals (including myself before I woke up) are for gun control. They believe it will make them more safe but instead it makes them less safe. How about following the constitution.

The thing that changed my mind was watching ABCs 20/20 where they had a segment on gun control.

After hearing Ron Paul, I realized that he is the only person I can fully support because of his strict adherence to the constitution and protecting our 2nd AND 4th ammendment!

nigeria has a total gun ban and ammunition ban. nigerian government can do whatever it wants and break into a house whenever they want. they have been the most successful gun ban today because they have the world's lowest gun possession rate now of 1 per 100 people (based on 2007 small arms survey). Still a country that has out of control violence.

So what about the hundreds of thousands of cases where a person uses a firearm for self-defense? You are essentially saying you don't care in that case.

That is the case though, counties are allowed in some instance to infer their own guns laws, the universal federal and state laws apply, however some counties and cities enact their own legislation. This is especially prevalent with concealed carry laws, which do vary by county and state.

exactly..I keep on seeing these comments about the 2nd amendment then soon after .."Oh except for Chicago or NewYork..who cares", everyone should have guns. Its all or nothing in the case of the 2nd amendment.
