You know, for all his honesty, I think Abe was more than a little politically shrewd.

I think the bearded old hound would have grabbed her ass and said something like, "Only in a good way, old gal".

And Mary Todd, would have recoiled and said something like "Mr. LINCOLN, behave yourself!"

Abe would have laughed and ducked the whole issue, politician style.
