  • What the hell is the point of getting married anyway aside for some tax breaks? What's the need for a public display of what anyone who matters already knows is an intimate and meaningful relationship? I'm 20 and have been with my boyfriend almost six years. All my siblings seem to be getting married lately. It seems like a waste of money, effort and could just be done in a registry office with party afterwards. The whole affair seems really sad and insecure of both involved parties.

if you're a cunt to everyone, who would ever want to marry you?

  • @Thunderfvck It's not. But if they can fuck off at any second then I am less likely to entrust them with all the things that entail being a family (shared finances, children, investment in their future etc) and more likely to hedge my bets in a selfish and individualistic way that actually makes both of us worse off while lining the pockets of corporations who are only too happy to exploit the individualism of the caribou so they can pick them off like wolves.

  • He should've said "the lengths to which people go", not "the lengths people go to". :P

  • @TehBuhmDiggeee It's because of tradition. If you weren't married in the past you'd not be officially recognised and fed by your man. Also, christianity shoved it up our noses for the past 2000 years

  • @TehBuhmDiggeee Some people just want a big fuss made over them I guess.

  • @TehBuhmDiggeee I've always asked myself (and others) why staying together because you're legally bound to eachother is a greater testament of love/affection/commitment than staying together despite being able to fuck off at any given second.

  • Apparently, 24 big fat gypsies watched this.

  • David's Mitchell's face is really fun to pause ahaha

  • @meddeyc
