You had me at "imputent hound!"

@heine: read the description carefully... it clearly states that this is a CBS promo for the TV special... which is probably only extant now as a black-and-white copy.
Geez... Lucy was so vicious back then!

LOL!

I once read that the part in A CB Christmas when Schroeder plays Jingle Bells & it sounds like a toy piano was the only time his piano ever sounded like a toy. Whoever wrote that probably didn't know about this promo. I sure didn't know about it!

The bit with Charlie Brown playing the piano was just from a promo. It was not cut from the special. I remember the old Coca Cola ending; later the sponsor was Dolly Madison. I wish they would just restore the end of the DVD version to include the end of the song! The scene with Snoopy slinging Linus into the sign looks vaguely familiar--the sign says "Danger" but I believe it once said Coca-Cola.

The billboard says DANGER

How on earth did you find this?
This includes part of the opening credit sequence cut off in later broadcast airings where Snoopy throws Linus into a billboard that shows a sponsor tag for Coca-Cola!

This was the promo for the initial telecast of the special [December 9, 1965]. Apparently, the scene from the '63 dcoumentary was used for this promo only. The Coca-Cola "billboard" sign was seen only during their original sponsorship of the special during the first few years...
