Handcrafted Telecaster Syd Barrett Art Guitar

What a great emotion to create this guitar, and see it played by our friend Francesco! This is an handcrafted Telecaster, done by an italian liuther and painted by a Syd Barrett's fan. The sound is that lysergic of the Sixties, as you can hear.
Barrett's face is NOT realized ABOVE the varnish, but it's painted between the black undercoat and the gloss finish, entirely by hand. Therefore it is an INTEGRAL PART OF THE BODY and could not discolor or break away, remaining unchanged over time. It makes this black telecaster an unique piece.

syd used an esquire, not a tele

@tiddlywinks98712 He used both. He even had a strat. But I think he mainly used the esquire(with the mirrored discs). Don't know why its often said he played a Telecaster. That might be a misconception.

Syd Barrett had both, a white Esquire that he customized with mirrors and a silver sheetings coat (please look at our other videos...), and after this he had a a black Telecaster with white bindings: this one have nothing to do with this painted guitar, but we were asked to paint Barrett's face on a RT (Telecaster model), we don't think there's something bad in it!

@RoZaGuitars A black telecaster with white binding you say? aaahhh man I used to have one just like that! it was a 62 re-issued model. If i known Syd Berret used one like that, I wouldn't have sold it DX.
