  • the violin note holds the very key to nostalgia and when i hear this fantastic musical composition i am drowned in a sea of hiraeth, in waves of past concerts as a boy, a student and young man, when the ripples were further into the centre -oh how i wish i were near the centre again- in my heart i am of course but Time - that bloody hangman of life, is always nearer now than the lovely freshness of youth!!

    bevanjphillips -love u all

  • Proves whan I've been saying to people a long time.

Musically progressive rock is comparable to classical pieces.

    At least Genesis's music.

Same genius. Same quality. Same beauty.

  • sharp and jumpy, not comforting like the song.

  • My favorite song ever from Genesis. What an amazing version. I teared up.

    BRAVO FANTASTIC

  • i'm 16 years old and my dad played this song one day, and i was hooked, thanks dad, he have given me so much good music, like Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, The Cure, and many old progressive stuffs. I'm in to progressive metal or avant garde metal bands, but nowadays i was beginning to turn into my old man in my taste of music hahahah (sorry for my bad English)

  • lives & breathes..gorgeous!!! an all around fave...=D

  • I love that version!

  • Maravilhosa versão de uma das musicas que mais amo do Genesis.

  • heard this version on Classic FM one day this week...

all I kept saying was.. "Im sure this is Genesis's Ripples!" turned out to be a tribute. It was all done nicely. =)

  • Tony Banks and Steve hacket we're straight up geniuses, you see it in Tony banks solo career, Its symphonies, and i agree with those who say that a lot of old progressive rock has certain similarities with the classical music compositions. I gotta buy this dvd

  • Such an astonishing idea to rearrange Genesis masterpieces to a piano quintet. As said before, very nostalgic.

(especially the 1st violin player, the Asian girl, and the cello player are a pleasure to look at, no offense whatsovere to the other, talented musicians.

I wonder who came to the idea to initiate this project.

BTW, I do have the DVD :-)

Thanks for sharing, who ever you may be.
