In memory of Sgt. Jon Stiles. Age 38, of Highlands Ranch, Colo. He was a member of Colorado Army National Guard's Battery B, 3rd Battalion, 157th Field Artillery and the Colorado Army National Guard State Honor Guard.
KIA 11/13/2008 when a roadside bomb detonated near his vehicle in Jalalabad, Afghanistan while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He and his wife Launa would have celebrated their eight wedding anniversary on Wednesday. Launa referred to Stiles as a Soldiers Soldier.

I served with (CPL) SGT Jonnie Stiles in Afghanistan. A fitting tribute to an American hero.

Thank you! yes, he truly is a real American hero. Is an honor to hear from someone like you that served with him. Just happen that day after tomorrow (Nov 13) is his 1 year anniversary.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. From all the things I've heard about him, he sounded like a great man.
I am deploying with the battalion he was assigned to while in the Colorado Guard. Keep an eye out on DVIDS for more of my work, if you'd like.
