My 2001 Mercedes CLK55 AMG vs a 2002 E39 BMW M5 w/Dinan S1 software and exhaust, from a dig, in a 0.4 mile run. CLK55 is totally stock except for 18" E55 rims/275s on rear.
@xxMICxASSASSINxx Yeah, I'll bet. But I wasn't talking about the Mercedes, I meant an M5, bonehead, which you obviously don't own either. I'm not following you, I responded to another, equallly moronic post you made in another thread.
let me guess, your car is automatic? i don't think you can get an automatic m5

@xxMICxASSASSINxx Guess you would know that if you actually had one.

@improvize i wouldn't want one if they gave it to me. Why are you following me? weirdo

I believe this because even though the M5 has more horsepower, the weight difference is great.
And, because i own a clk55, and i took a M5 easy.

Exactly, it's the weight difference. E39 M5 weighed 4030 pounds and had 394 hp = 10.23 pounds/horsepower. CLK55 weighed 3450 pounds and had 349 horsepower = 9.88 pounds/horsepower. Advantage: CLK.
M5's gearing was a bit more agressive, but not enough to bridge the gap. The two cars are very close, though, so don't make any mistakes! :)
