A dozen hooded men have burnt down the home of the former boss of investment firm Wendel, to demand the release of all prisoners belonging to a separatist group in the French island of Corsica. A dozen hooded men entered a chalet near Porticcio, in southern Corsica, on Wednesday evening, and tied up its residents, including the former CEO Jean-Bernard Lafonta, his wife and children. The residents were removed from the house before attackers set off explosives which set light to the 300m² residence. The victims of the attack managed to free themselves and call the police. The attackers left "Freedom for the patriots. In memory of Marcel Lorenzoni. Political solution FLNC" scrawled on a wall of the house. The National Liberation Front of Corsica (FLNC) advocates independence from France for the island. It has been campaigning since the mid-1970s and has often targeted police stations in bombing attacks. Marcel Lorenzoni was a Corsican nationalist who was killed by his son in 2000. French official Stephane Buillon condemned the attack and said the FLNC were on a "worrying path". "The commando took a family hostage and did not hesitate to tie up very young children and blow up their home on an island where children are sacred," he said Since June, attacks against foreigners and mainland Frenchmen have been on the increase.

Une villa près de Porticcio (Corse-du-Sud) a totalement brûlé mercredi soir à la suite d'un incendie provoqué par deux explosions. Les occupants, une famille de continentaux, qui avaient été ligotés et emmenés à l'extérieur de la maison, ont réussi à donner l'alerte vers 22h30. Il s'agit de Jean-Bernard Lafonta, ancien président du directoire du groupe Wendel, de sa femme et de leurs deux filles, âgées de 13 et 10 ans. La villa de 300 m2 en bois, située en bord de mer sur la commune de Pietrosella, à environ 25 km au sud d'Ajaccio, a entièrement brûlé. Les démineurs se sont rendus sur place afin de parer à toute nouvelle explosion, ont précisé les pompiers. Dans l'enceinte se trouvaient également le gardien et sa famille, qui n'ont pas été blessés. Selon la femme du gardien, les agresseurs étaient «peut-être cinq». «J'étais chez moi quand ces personnes sont entrées et nous ont dit, à ma fille de six ans et moi, qu'ils faisaient partie du RAID, que des prisonniers s'étaient échappés et qu'ils étaient là pour notre sécurité», explique-t-elle. Des hommes encagoulés et vêtus de noir. Figure du nationalisme corse, Marcel Lorenzoni est décédé il y a dix ans.
La gendarmerie d'Ajaccio a été dessaisie de l'enquête au profit du SRPJ, a-t-on appris auprès des gendarmes. Plusieurs villas ont été visées par une série d'attentats ces derniers mois en Corse, sans faire de blessés. A la mi-juin, quatre maisons, dont une neuve et une autre en construction, avaient été pulvérisées ou fortement endommagées au cours d'une seule nuit par l'explosion de bouteilles de gaz couplées à des charges généralement de forte puissance, en Haute-Corse comme en Corse-du-Sud.

@expodown, Ciò deve essere conosciuto in tutto il mondo democratico: la Francia vieta la lingua corsa in Corsica. La France sostiene che la lingua corsa è illegale e anticostituzionale. Il popolo corso è negato e discriminato su la sua proprio terra, come il popolo tibetano con la Cina. Il popolo corso subisce un genocidio culturale da parte della Francia, e nessuno paese non si indigna. E quando il popolo corso si difende è denunciato come "terrorista".
