Some of the most popular videos that I have ever posted on YouTube have been those showing the Southern Pacific (SP) Daylight locomotives (class GS-2 and class GS-4) pulling a matching passenger consist. It's only logical to give them the True HD 1080p treatment and this is the first. It shows the GS-2 Northern-type (4-8-4) steam locomotive pulling a long passenger consist. This is locomotive #4412, not nearly as famous as its later sibling, class GS-4 #4449, which is still in operation today, but it is nonetheless impressive in its own right. This was shot at 24 fps in cinematic mode at 24 Mbps which, based on the comments that I've received on the previous four videos that I've posted in hi-def, gives the best viewing experience. Enjoy! :)
The original 4412 didn't have that gs-4 weather cab but the engine still looks cool.

Still got that Hancock 3 chime. Actually, I've heard that a good deal of the GS class locomotives had the distinctive SP 5 chimes, like most of the other road locos. Should that be the case, MTH is wrong...
A good video in its own respect, though.
