If you want to learn Japanese, or you need some extra resources for learning, PLEASE READ THIS!

Beginners who need to learn their hiragana and katakana, I suggest you use this site, it's how I managed to learn them both in about 2 or 3 weeks. You have to continually use it if you want to improve though!
http://www.realkana.com/

If you're ready to learn kanji, here are a few useful sites to get you started, although I will make a video to help you learn them as well. You might also want to check out Tae Kim's guide if you don't know anything at all about kanji:

Tae Kim's guide:
http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar (this is also good for grammar and other important things. I suggest you read it no matter what level you are.)

To help you learn kanji:
http://www.learn-japanese.info/firstgradekanji.html
http://infohost.nmt.edu/~armiller/japanese/kanjigradefr.htm
http://www.kanjisite.com/ (Useful for all levels)

Here's an online dictionary, but I suggest a dictionary in book form:
http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?1C

And here's an even better online dictionary that I should have been using long ago: http://jisho.org/

If you're intermediate to advanced, I recommend
http://lang-8.com/

Here's an example of the Algorithm march:

And here's my version of the algorithm march: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUm9qhfydZA&feature=channel_video_title

And for the really daring, here's the Soran Happies ParaPara:

Here's Micaela, the amazingest person ever!!
http://www.youtube.com/user/Ciaela

And her Japanese version of Disney's "Part of Your World"

This is also a cool site where you can look for more Japanese language learning resources:

  • started a few months ago and I think my progress is okay. I may get some Japanese lessons when I attend university. but so far, I'm fine with learning by myself.

    btw, you look cute ^.^

  • @Lugmillord Cool! Good luck, Japanese is amazing.

  • thanks for the links. I'm really serious about learning japanese and hope to pretty much master it in the next 4 years. This was probably the most helpful youtube vid on how too learn it so thanx. Do you know if playing games in japanese or watching japanese shows(subs off) would help me any faster?

  • @evilkaz200 I'm glad to see someone who's really dedicated!! I think it's more helpful if you have subs on at first, because if you don't know what the words mean, it's just going in one ear and out the other. If you pause the video after you hear a sentence, read the subs, and listen to it a few times, it could be useful. Picking out individual words like this work as well. It also helps with pronounciation. But don't let it be your only resource.

  • ありがとうございました。:)サッカープレーリンガールのビデオはすごいです。

  • Algorithm March is from a Japanese children's show called Pitagora Suichi. While it is a children's show, it's still useful for learning Japanese, especially for beginners.

  • @emikoakuma Thank you for telling me , I Appriciate it,

  • @akirasugoineko こんにちは is spelled with は not わ and its こ (ko)。ん(n)。 に(ni)。 ち(chi)。 は(wa) (sorry if I sound bitchy >.< I just wanted ot tell you that.) P.s. although its kon'nichiwa in this case the は makes the wa sound.
