@smuckers77 The lever has to be repaired i have a video on this for the gen 2s but i think your handle is gen 1 style but am not positive.

Holy shit, what a pain in the ass. When i replaced my shift boot, I just screwed off the shifter knob and just lifted upwards on the boot and it came right off.
