@Aonexia Well its not really the front forks, the damper acts as a clamp that attatches the handle bars to the gas tank, by doing this, it can regulate how hard u have to push or pull to move the handle bars, so if ur goin like 120 and u hit a nasty patch of road, the handle bars wont shake, in other words, it allows u to control the handle bars not the road surface, hope this helps.

You know something.... he still did not explain what a dampener does. I'm still lost. He would make a poor English professor.
Can some one please tell me what a dampener does to the front forks... please?
