if people who are poor fall sick, they may not have the sufficient funds necessary to receive proper treatment, no matter the amount of motivation and determination for success they have. this contradicts them the right they should have to achieve stability and the comfort they deserve, while they have opportunity to flourish in a workplace. this is the barrier of capitalism, whilst the barrier of communism is the opposite. not compensating people for their hard work

Anyone in this "capitalist" society can get health care anytime they want...emergency rooms are open 24 hrs. They may not have insurance , but no health care facility will turn any one away , that even includes illegal aliens, who happen to be a very large load on our health care ststem.

you put up some very valid and proper points in your argument. that is if you were arguing against COMMUNISM. i don't think that you truly understand what socialism is, the medium between the extreme polar opposites of economy; capitalism & communism. socialism can be equally far away from capitalism as it is from communism! and no, it is not always controlled by dictators, that is a whole other wing of politics altogether. it can be just as equally a dictatorship as a capitalist society can be.

Capitalism it affects people's mentality, walk into a British school these days and you'll find people making jokes about Jewish people and other religions which is verbal Fascism. You may say there only kids, but there people who'll run the country in a few decades. The popularity of the BNP is growing more than you may think, in my district alone I'd say there were about 5000 people who were members.

I'll agree, socialism probably does work in some cases in Europe, here in the UK we have the NHS, though in reality it doesn't make a difference if things are private or national. The general public still pays for it only difference is through nationalised healthcare you pay through taxes, privatised you pay individually. Which one works best I have no idea.
