Here is a video of my recently acquired Victrola, a VV 2-35 playing Casey Jones, sung by Billy Murray. When I obtained it, I unfortunately found that the linkage in the reproducer was broken. I was told that that crimped together Orthophonic reproducer was not repairable, and that it was specific to the VV 2-35. Using a Dremel, I cut it apart. I engineered a new linkage using a piece of 20 AWG copper wire and some epoxy. I also replaced the gaskets, and then glued it back together. It's not pretty, but it sounds amazing! I also completely overhauled the motor, and now it runs like clockwork.
Sorry for the poor video quality. That's what you get for buying a cheap camera! I hope to upload a better quality video sometime.
