  • what are the two tubes? 811A?

  • @marieomagpie

    4-250A tetrodes.

  • the tube oscillator is a realy usefull thing ,isn't it?I bet this kind of oscillators is more relable than soild state circuits.

  • Well, it depends on so many things. But so far my tube oscillator has been working without any failures. My solidstate inductionheaters had some IGBT failures at the beginning.. So when it comes to my projects, tube version is absolutely the most reliable. It just works from day to another without problems.

  • the coil is water cooled????

  • No, this one is not cooled.

  • If that is a galvanized bolt @ 1:00 the smoke from the coating burning off is highly toxic so just be careful.
