  • i knocked out my homeboys timing belt on his LS in 15 min... but the only thing in the way was the alternator belt. i know at the honda dealership i watch them knock out timing belt kits on d series in about 90 min

  • REMIXED BY THE CHIPMUNKS:::

  • i don't understand what special tools you're going to need other than like sockets ratchet and wrenches...plus you don't have to remove the valve cover...and all you have to do is turn your wheel all the way to the left and unbolt your splash guard and your upper and lower timing covers and you can get to it...it's much easier removing the crank pulley thought. my car had 186k on it with the original timing belt still on, no cracks and not loose. but i replaced with a Gates timing belt.

  • the best part is that you now added $150 of tools to your collection and the experience doing it yourself is priceless.

  • i would have did it myself too if someone was chargin me that much lol

  • timming beld was loose....

    how was that engine WOT revving between 4500 and 6500rpm? vibrating like hell??????

    cheers

    cheap bastard

    :unquote

    LOL :P

  • follow the spark plug tubes when installing the cover... that way it closes properly and if the gaskets are the original ones it avoid the "oil in spark plug hole" mistery

  • hooray for harbour freight tools! i love that place! Everyrhing is so cheap and theyre not half bad either
