I understand the frustration that you people(commenters) feel about the Superferry however it's important for you to understand the facts. I was born and raised on Kaua'i am a now attending college on O'ahu and while I would have loved to ride the Superferry as well, it's important to understand how this corporation took advantage of the legal system in Hawai'i and used our government for their own benefit. I am pro-business, as long as it's done properly. Don't be ignorant.

the police were just doing their job. the surfers were actually committing a felony by obstructing the path of the superferry. you think the cops wanted to arrest people? no, but they HAD to, or else there would have been major heat on them from the government. they were put in a tough situation, so before you call them assholes, put yourself in their position. those guys taunting the cops may very well need their assistance one day, if they haven't already.
