I got to admit, the last thing I ever expected to be hooked up to this IC SD70 was a UP ES44AC. Needless to say, it was quite nice to see the IC in the lead, especially with its nice P5 horn. L521, a local from Kirk Yard (Gary, IN.) to Spaulding, IL., heads north through Crest Hill, passing Turner. Construction work is evident here at the Gaylord Road crossing, as it's being prepped for a whistle ban. Residents in the neighborhood across the street won't be able to turn left out of their street anymore, once the work is completed. That's really sad, in my opinion.

  • cool lashup wish there was sd70ace at the end as dpu

  • @seniorbiscut Thanks. We usually get the SD70ACe's at the rear of UP stack trains on this line. A good amount of the time, we get them leading.

  • @rattacular12 Nice. I'm around the Joliet Yard all the time. Hope to get video of you soon.

  • @NicTrain35 Kirk over in Gary and yes I am ;)Right now on the 1600 yard in Joliet. Come get a video of me being bored Ill wave lol

  • @rattacular12 Whoops, I had my comment reversed. Haha. By KYD, do you mean Kensington Yard? You an engineer on the CN line here? If so, I've prolly seen you quite a few times. Cool.

  • @NicTrain35 Usually you only see UP power in Joliet. KYD usually never sees UP units sitting around.I get to see this line a lot;) Always good to see a fan.

  • @EricJP1 You're absolutely right. If only CN and the cities would listen to us, we'd be set. Thanks for watching.

  • @GenesisSanctuary Thanks a lot! Quiet zones irritate me as well. I agree 100% with you.

  • @dwkcamman611 Thanks! Haha, I thought that'd be a good title.

  • Quiet zones...... always lead to fatalities.

  • Awesome catch, Nick! Who was the idiot who thought that putting a quiet zone here, especially if it will drastically change the flow of traffic from one of the streets, would be a good idea? I still think that quiet zones should be outlawed.
