I really like Gopher. It beats the web for pure information. A DOS gopher client from 1991 still works. I have tried it. Just like any other client be it Windows, OS/2, Mac, Unix or whatever. A Gopher client never requires upgrade. The web browser must constantly be modified for security and continuing web enhancements such as Flash or Javascipt. Therefore, Gopher is efficient and always current.
