Good conversion, though, but from 1982 to December 1983 there were real Monte Carlo diesels (on the G-body chassis), the V8 version being the quickest (as opposed to the V6 version).

@tdk468 Sound like its tight. i bet that rns alot of heads and pisses off those people who think diesels are strictly for pulling. Lol, its like they have never heard of power and mpg combined. Its the mpg that is the selling point in the diesel trucks anyway. What does the monte get? is it chipped or anything?

@12valvepower1 dont you mean powerchoke?

@TropicalConfederate Dude that would be so sick....I'm doing research to put a 5.9 24 valve in my 73 Challenger :)

Any dyno time? 1/4 mile times? How are highway pulls? Interesting to know. I have a 71 roadrunner freshley restored I want to put a 12V in.

Ok those cars have the length and the width, but where in the hell did you find the depth?

@TheChevycummins The oil fill cap is about an 1/8 inch from the hood and the oil pan in a 1/2 from the cross member. I had to add a air bleed to the coolant system since the rad. is lower than the motor. Its tight.
