大约31年前 (1978) 已经说定他非池中物 : (当年是我以观众身份打电话到大会堂后台对他说他赢定的, 而他也真的赢了!) 奈何他一贯低调, 淡薄名利, 与世无争, 赢了歌唱比赛却不发展. 后来跟他成了朋友, 方知原来是父母亲反对!!! 但努力学习, 奋发向上, 永不放弃的精神已把他带进司儀殿堂, 带进「今日華人」文獻, 被本港及国内外各界人士广泛欣赏认同, 不负众望 - 不负我望!!! 恭喜! 恭喜!!

A SELFLESS MASTER OF CEREMONY THAT TOUCHED AND MOVED AUDIENCE AND MADE THEM WANT TO DONATE MORE........


Michael Law as the guest MC for a fund raising charity concert for the SICHUAN EARTH QUAKE incident. This is what he said:

(Michael's own translation)

" Honorable guests and honorable charity supporters. Good afternoon and welcome! My name is Michael Law Ming Wai and "I AM A WOMAN! "
Well, let me put it this way. - if the saying " Men shed no tears, only blood !" is affirmative, then I am a woman because I shed tears! Not only do I cry, lately I have undergone quite a lengthy period of tears running down my cheek:
"Whenever I watched TV and saw news about the SICHUAN incident, I CRIED;
Whenever I saw news about teachers trying to save other people's children sacrificing their own, I CRIED;
Whenever I saw the news about members of the People's Liberation Army signing their will before boarding the jet-fighters and put on their parachutes jumping off blindly onto the danger zone with only one mission in mind, trying to save their fellow nationals knowing well that their own lives are at stake and the chance of leaving their own families behind is much higher than being able to save a living soul, I CRIED."
Whenever I saw the news that fire-fighters / soldiers got down on their knees , begging relentlessly and hysterically to get back into the debris wanting to search for and save as many as possible, after the temporary retreat orders had been issued because the danger zone was undergoing some severe after quakes ,I CRIED.


MEN SHED NO TEARS, ONLY BLOOD???

NONSENSE!!!


Of course I am not this shallow. I know the true meaning behind is that "Men should stay strong , regardless".

But one shouldn't describe men as merciless either, REGARDLESS!!!

Ever since the May 12 incident, I believe that you all have, to a greater or lesser extent,donated your money to help our fellow nationals at SICHUAN, and I am confident that you will keep on donating and caring for their well being. I now feel the urge to express on their behalf their most heartfelt gratitude. I now salute you and kneel down before you. Please bear in mind: Our donations are limited, their gratitude is unlimited, and your merits are countless and timeless.....
