That she did. I sound so manly in this video, it's almost as painful as her bite. Yes I know Hadrian isn't a particularly common girl name, but she seems to be getting a curved plastron which indicates she is male. Being less than four years old, she is still quite androgynous. Also, inb4 WHT BRNAD OF POTATOE DID U USE TO RECORD THIS? It's actually not a terrible quality clip in terms of resolution, but it is horribly out of focus.

  • My Spur Thigh does this... he's quite little though so it doesn't hurt :)

  • @Productshizzlez hadrian is supposed to be a mediterranean spur-thigh but we arent sure what subspecies... her papers were a bit, ahem, dubious

  • @ScytheKing Oh right... Does he have the Spurs on his thighs?

  • @Productshizzlez not sure yet, haha. there are, we think, some nubs on the back legs that could be spurs in the making. any idea how old the tortoise should be before definite spurs appear?

  • @ScytheKing @ScytheKing Usually you can tell from hatching... Sparta's (my tort) are quite obvious... Get on Tortoise-World com and get up a pic :)

  • @Gigdoat in any case, this is definitely a land-dwelling tortoise. although she does spend quite some time in her water dish, and then relieves herself all over it -_-

  • @ScytheKing Actually, i thought it was a turtle because it looks like one that would live in water. We do consider turtles and tortoises two different things. Or at least the smart ones do...

  • @Gigdoat you mean tortoise. oh wait, you call them turtles in america, nvm then. i differentiate between turtles and tortoises, that's all. but she does seem to be a fine specimen so far.

  • @TheKingstermation i think i was more surprised than actually hurt, she was struggling to get a grip and i was thrown completely off guard when she suddenly got one and pulled

  • Nice turtle.
