We sit down with Colt Kennedy. The once upon a time 12th overall pick in the OHL Entry Draft is now on the cusp of even being selected in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. We ask him about his topsy-turvy Major Junior career so far, and his hopes for the future.

Lakehead is a good team, but definately not the best in the league. They only made the national tournament because they were the host and didn't win a game. They are a power in the OUA for sure, but right now Western is looking pretty strong.

Steve, PLEASE do these next year, I'm loving these interviews! It helps me get to know some of the rookies a little bit better

Haha, he's pretty serious guy from the looks of it, but also sort of looks like a joker at the same time.
But yeah despite that downward spiral that happened, I still think if he gets picked he'll make a pretty good rookie.

College would probably be a bad option hockey-wise for him. He played CHL, which means he can't play in the NCAA. The CIS isn't a hotspot for NHL teams to look for talent. He'd be better off finishing off his CHL years, and trying out with some AHL/NHL teams at their camps. Even getting an AHL tryout and showing he can play in the AHL would be huge. Hopefully he gets drafted and does alright though. Looks like he hasn't played many games, which probably hurt his status.
