Some people seem to have problems getting the Bose amplifier to work properly when installing aftermarket radios, I have installed Pioneer decks in both a G35 sedan and G35 coupe and have not had this problem. Since all other wires are pretty much self-explanatory, I can only assume that people are not grounding everything the right way.

To do it the way I've done it, you connect the amp ground wire from the 70-7551, the ground wire from the 70-7551, and the ground wire from the factory harness together. Ground this to the body of the vehicle.

  • that merta harness kills the sound

  • @dehart3a The point of the video was to show that the harness didn't change the audio at all from before. The Bose amp is what kills the sound.

  • hey so this means that i dont need to change anything else for it to work... and do u know if my stock nav will still work?

  • @Kidoelement The 05+'s work fine this way, but 03-04s seem to need a different adapter - PAC ROEM-NIS - to work properly.

If you want more help, come to the g35driver forums, I've got a fairly extensive post in the AV forums for what you need.

  • what dash kit is that?? how did you fit the nav unit?

  • @mrlojix You can see at about 0:41 that my first attempt to modify the 7W010 wasn't perfect, but nobody that I haven't pointed it out to has noticed, and I could do a much, much better job if I had to do it again.

  • Thanks!!! Seems like you're the only person online with this info. I searched everywhere for an answer. This also solved my radio reception issues.

  • Sir!!!!! Where do I plug the RCA's from the adapter into my deck? I have one set of RCA outputs (red and white) so would I need a splitter?!? Thanks!

  • Where r u located i need help

  • @mrlojix Nissan Part 68260-7W010, fits perfectly with factory navigation units, but is hard to come by. The trim shown is Nissan Part number 68260-7W000. I cut the top 1/8" of plastic behind the aluminum off and folded the aluminum over, as I couldn't get the 7W010 in a timely manner.
