Chipper Dave of Fermentedly Challenged finishes his homebrew day by pitching the yeast starter into his cooled wort of robust porter. By utilizing a yeast starter, it didn't take long for a strong fermentation to set in.

  • When I need to air-rate my must that I've just pitched yeast into, I use a fermenting bucket like you have with a spigot and I just transfer the must from the bucket to a glass or plastic carboy (I use the giant blue jugs that hold water in an office)

  • did you use two different yeasts? That was a pretty healthy starter you pitched! How did it turn out? Thanks for sharing!
