Mastodon - Oblivion Acoustic Cover

Great song that I've been obsessed with recently - feel free to criticize! I went with a cover in the style of Tool/Perfect Cricle/Deftones. Hope you enjoy it.

Note* - Switched a few words around, "in oblivion" as the chorus ends I used "in this".
- switched the lyrics from "lost love" to "close low".

*If you're planning on covering this cover please give credit where it belongs in your post! There has been several users that are imitating my style without proper referencing and it is quite annoying and strips away from the authenticity.

@ComfortablyNumbAgain For the most part yes, I generally had to listen to the song enough times and look up tabs to get the main riffs, but then convert the notes and chords to more acoustically audible sequences. My 'solo' was completely improvised on the spot, so I dont even know what the tabs are. The major riffs you can easily pick up by listening and looking at my hand motion. I believe I went 1.5 step down if I remember correctly, its been some time.

He's not covering it exactly; there's a reason he did it the way he did. He was specifically going for the Perfect Circle/Tool style.

that is quite possibly the most atrocious thing i've seen in ages guitar playing wise, maybe you should actually focus on the music more, like the beginning is nothing like what you played. I get that it's a version but things like that should be nailed. Nice voice though.
