  • Hi. I have a question for you. Was your tank an old propane tank? If so where did you get the fins to place inside the tank for the heat transfer? I've tried to look them up on the internet but I can't find anything. Thank you

  • @gunkyjoe725 Good day. Yes, it is a converted 300-gallon propane tank. Search for this video: Eko 40 Wood Gasification Boiler 2 He has a real good view of the coils.

Mine - google AHONA. Not sure if they still carry them. Good luck!

  • Nice vid. too many of the vids of these units do not seem to be burning a nicely as yours is doing. Apparently some folks do not know how to operate them properly. They are so proud of what looks like a good flame. yeah, compared to a fireplace but they should see yours and try to get it to run properly.

  • Thanks. This is the second winter I have used this unit. It is performing well. With the addition of three solar panels and re-insulation of the holding tank, I have wood consumption down to approximately one (1) face cord per month. Most of the time, I load firewood once a day.

  • @Kntryhart Hi there, I am interested to know what you are using the solar panels for, and how you have added them? I am assuming they are photovoltaic, so do you store the power to run the fans/ pumps from? Thanks!

  • @dataplumbing No PV; solar hot water; works great!

  • why is the safety divice not fitted to pipes on sides of boiler??

  • why is the safty device not fitted to the pipes ion top of boiler???

  • wow, when you opened that door and I seen that flame and heard that noise that was very impressive, I didn't know you could do that with wood.

  • The boiler controller manages all circulator pump functions. All parameters are programmable via the controller. You can change the temperature that the circulator pump stops in case of low temps. Eko recommends keeping the boiler above a certain temp to avoid condensation.
