@jaffijoe Strange. Jean-Luc was a VERY big deal with or without Frank (a MUCH bigger hero of mine, by the way). Ponty didn't need Frank's fucking employment even in the slightest and I cannot imagine where you got such a version of this history. JLP was the classical/jazz/rock superstar of his era and Naolean M. B. is STILL a nobody except as a Zappa-teer. Lesson over.

Yep, Frank employed Jean-Luc for many years. Then Jean-Luc demanded more and Frank said, "hit the road". To be honest, Jean-Luc's replacement offered far more. I couldn't imagine what 'Inca Roads' or 'Florentine Pogen' would have been like without Napoleon Murphy Brock; a fine replacement for Jean-Luc Ponty.
