Okay, so you guys say it's okay to watch trains, right? Then why everytime railfans trains, FROM A REPECTUVE DISTANCE, people still tell them to "get lost" and threaten to call the cops??? L

I'm guessing that it was for younger kids, hence the repetition.

We watched that at my school a while back..... on the bus going home everybody was complaining how much they said "Tracks are for trains, NOT for kids".

Trains are BIG. Humans are SMALL. How about this: tracks are for trains, NOT for humans.
In THAT case, Operation Lifesaver has rules for railfans as well. Just don't go on the tracks, don't stand too close to the tracks or rail cars, and if there are fences with "NO TRESSPASSING" signs, obey the signs, and only cross at bridges, overpasses or railroad crossings. It's as simple as that

Dude ,railfanners are supposed to stay at least 15 ft away from tracks. Are you gonna stand right on the track when the train is coming ,didn't think so.
