This song is progressive rock of the romanticism, so beautiful melody in the most romantic period in musical terms ( 80’s), best lyrics and melodies for feelings, it seems that these times will never be back, Rod Frame was another romantic hero!

I'm from the Philippines and during the 80s, the time when our country was experiencing political unrest and the effort to topple the Marcos regime was gaining momentum, a lot of student activists were listening to a lot of New Wave songs which were appreciated then as anti-establishment. Surprisingly, Aztec Camera, like Prefab Sprout, had a modest following.

awesome song, and I too agree with lauramac73, I love the intensity in his face.......makes you know he would be an awesome lover......lol

Roddy is a songwriting genius - up there with Paddy McAloon, Neil Finn, Andy Partridge, Kirsty McCall (RIP), Rufus Wainwright and Peter Gabriel.....

I love the intensity in his face around 5:36. Almost trance-like...

This song is amazing...so underrated. Bliss is a great word to describe it.
eight minutes and two seconds of pure undiluted bliss, memories of being a teenager in Glasgow in the '80's. Life was pretty tough then, looking back. Hope springing eternal listening to Aztec Camera. Pollok shopping centre Saturday morning chatting up the girls from Crookie and debating who was better, Roddy Frame or Paddy McAloon then getting the Fifty into town to look around the record shops and writing our nicknames on the back seats of the bus as we passed along the Paisley road.

What a treat. I would have thought asking an audience to listen to 'knife' live would have been a tough sell. All this live stuff from his second album is amazing to see and hear.
