  • Hi spencer ive been waiting to see if youd repost this thank you any chance of reposting larry williams bonny maroni and sweet nothings brenda lee keep up the fantastic work keeping vinyl alive.

  • You got it!

Both have been reposted - enjoy!

  • What an unusual record! It looks like they set the lathe to cut an eight minute EP and then only cut the two minutes and change the record runs. The audio is great, though. Neat find! :) JC

  • This was a hard record to find, as it was EARLY rockabilly, and Roy Orbison's first record, which charted very high on the charts.

  • HI SPENCER, I DID NOT KNOW THAT ROY DID THIS SONG FIRST, THE ONLY VERSION THAT I HAVE HEARD WAS FROM CCR.

BY THE WAY THANKS FOR ALL THE UP LOADS.

  • @vwest1ife The Sun Sound.

  • Wow! I knew that Roy Orbison had recorded for Sun (whose studios are a much better tour bargain in Memphis than Graceland, especially when followed by dinner at the Rendezvous), but I don't think I had ever seen any Sun records of his. By the way, I wondered for many years if the Doobie Brothers took their name from this song. Perhaps if I had been well-versed in drug culture lingo in the 1970s, I would not have wondered about this for so long.

  • Sounds a lot like "Blue Suede Shoes"...
