On December 17th 1959, Louise Teagarden disappeared into the Santa Rosa Mountains above Palm Springs, CA. Her remains were discovered more than 30 years later in a rock shelter far off the beaten path in difficult terrain. Writer Ann Japenga, Harry Quinn & Theresa Pawley make their first attempt at locating the cave where Louise was eventually found. This is a companion piece to the article that ran in the Jan/Feb 2009 issue of Sierra Magazine.
Thanks for creating and posting this. I've been intrigued by Louise Teagarden since reading about her in the Sierra Club magazine. Just visited the Santa Rosa Mtns myself and was thinking about her... and now found this video.
