On December 17th 1959, Louise Teagarden disappeared into the Santa Rosa Mountains above Palm Springs, CA. Her remains were discovered more than 30 years later in a rock shelter far off the beaten path in difficult terrain. Writer Ann Japenga, Harry Quinn & Theresa Pawley make their first attempt at locating the cave where Louise was eventually found. This is a companion piece to the article that ran in the Jan/Feb 2009 issue of Sierra Magazine.
