@ManIHustle Carson respected the show enough to not make a fuss despite not getting his wishes for Letterman...and Letterman declined to take the show because he didn't want to ruin the image of the show by taking it away from Leno

2. Kicking him off would be like what they did to his prime time show, giving 5 years notice to the end of his term with the show is like the presidents term you hold it, then you leave.

@ManIHustle #1 Yes, to me it's just a show. However you saying to Jay Leno, and NBC. Is just B.S. and then omitting "guys like Conan, Carson, and Letterman"? How did Carson and Letterman get in it?

#2 No, they kicked he off. It's not like they stopped the show. They gave it to someone(Conan) So B.S. again.

#3 And integrity isn't waiting in the lobby hoping the other guy fails...integrity isn't blaming the other guy when it was your show that got canceled...and integrity isn't taking back a show you already gave up.

@Emininity At the end of the day... I'm sorry to say...That it's just a show, and NBC gets to call the shotes. Jay was #1 for his last 14 years and NBC kicked him off. He just walked away and did not cry. Jay even asked NBC, what do you need me to do now. Thats integrity, not writhing a letter to the public crying about stuff that you should be talking to NBC about.

You do know that this isn't a change in his work schedule...he's not doing his show half an hour later...it's being aired half an hour later.

He's quiting because he doesn't want to see the show become something it's not...as he said in his letter, the show has ALWAYS aired after the news...And he'd rather walk away than damage something he clearly loves.

I don't think you've ever dealt with something that's considered an american institution for the last 60 years.

@Emininity I just talk about the money, just to say how good he had it. Thats it. Please just stop using the word "integrity" when talking about Conan, because you will have people thinking it's okay to quit. Thats not "integrity". & if it is.The next time your boss give you a shift & then tells you to come in a half hour later. Show your "integrity" and just quit.

The bottom-line is. I like Conan, I just thank he over reacted to something we all have to deal with. And thats work.

Is it time for a change? It's a formula that's worked for over 60 years...people don't reinvent the wheel.

Because of integrity...and you're basing this on money, and it's more than money. Yea I'd have no problem working at 12:05 for 15 mil a year...but Conan is not me or you, he's not some slub on the internet.

And not only that, Conan show would've doomed if it was moved to 12:05...he'd be expected to have the same ratings at a later time spot where there's less people awake.
