  • i say this I AM DYSLEXIC AND PROUD OF IT

  • I've had dyselxica for years now, I know that. And I don't care,I am the one who noticed it. I'm the one who relised writing backwards and finding things hard to read wasn't normal.all the teetchers, they just classed me as 'slow'. without telling me i had a problem. Once, I was given a blue transparant bookmark from a techer but she didn't explain why i needed it. I lost the bookmark, and never got another. but i read a book called percy jackson, and it seemed exactly like what i had.

  • Very average?

How can you use an adverb on a word average. The very meaning of average doesn't need a adverb with it.

  • @Tabatha520 apparently you completely missed the point.

  • @JuicyStacy if the school wont listen go ova their heads. u have your childs best interests at heart.

  • @JuicyStacy getin testd outside the school may be pricey. im not sure but this is something you need to push to get done as soon as posible. ur child may not b dyslexic but either way if your child has learin difficulties they need to be adresed right away. cause i promise you if not caught early bad learing habbits set in an cause problems in lata lyf. dylexia has nothing to do with intellecual capacity, most dyslexics r high grade students. so no worries there.

  • @JuicyStacy u need to get her tested yourself. look up on the interent or ask the school to refer to you 2 a professional diagnostic for dylexia. i had to diagnose my own dyslexia wen i was 17 in college. in my secondary school i was reading at least two years under my age and they thought to test me. im 19 now.

  • I THINK 8yr old has dyslexia but her school wont test her. I 1st questioned it when she was in 1st but they said they wont test her until she is atleast in 3rd & although she is currently in 2nd she is technically supposed to be in 3rd now (she flunked 1st) but they still wont test her. She sometimes writes numbers & letters backward & she also sometimes even writes complete words backwards writing from the right side of the paper to the left instead of from the left to the right. What can I do?

  • If reading is properly taught, almost all of this is moot. Please trust Flesch, Blumenfeld, or Engelmann before you trust this.

Or Google my "42: Reading Resources."

  • @Tabatha520 she probably suffers from naming dyslexia
