Hint: Depression =/= sadness. You quite often get depressed without any rational reason (rational = family death, poverty, stress, etc). We are coming to learn that happiness is expressed through brain chemistry somehow, and that depression can be the result of a failure for that chemical reaction to occur properly. That's why anti-depression medications all modify how dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine are handled in our brain - because those three chemicals are responsible for happiness.
