If you are European by all means get the E36, it is lighter and with 321hp it is just 12 short of the E46's 333. Plus, E46 weighs a lot more and in top end is slower than E36. S50 euro spec engine is very good, first engine with over 100hp/L

Race, this movie is whitout X-pipe, now i have x-pipe too and the sound is really exciting and much louder to!

do you need to run the x pipe in order to fit the mufflers, or do they just slip on like the stock piping?

No, i had first only the Eisenmann muffler and afterwards the x-pipe from supersprint. As long as you buy stuff that is made for M3 it is all plug and play.
In this movie i had only the muffler, the movies with x-pipe are much louder ;-)
