This experimental design was supposed to be a variation of a Buck Childers' Pocket Sled kite (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_Wy5XOrdPA ), with the pocket cells extended from the usual 50 cm to 212 cm. The center panel and the keels are also slightly bigger.
This is the first test flight. Notice how it has a tendency to twist around, go upside down, one keel might wrap around to the back of one side. Yes, it sort of flies, and in an interesting way, but I consider it still to be an unsuccessful design.
