Used FNAR heavy came with Center Point 4-16x scope, bipod, case and 500 rounds Wolf ammo.

Before going to the range, I found the scope hadn't been leveled, so I re-mounted it. I also configured the FNAR to fit me by adjusting but pad length and comb height. I bought a case of Hornady 168gr. Match and went to the local range.

It was 100 degrees with a gentle 9:00 wind. First group was sub-MOA with inexperienced shooter and cheap scope; not bad.

  • @ShowMeAr15 1993 Oldsmobile Bravada

  • @zumagun Was asking $1,100 for it and decided to accept this trade. Rifle also came with 500rds Wolf ammo which I haven't shot any of yet; just the 20 hornady match so far.

  • Nice rifle! How is the recoil?

  • practice your breathing, it'll get better.

  • Put some decent glass on that rifle, you're insulting it with a Centerpoint.

    Other then that, just practice.

  • Very nice rifle though

  • Use a rear support next time and hold your breath at the same point, every shot... Some say completely exhale... Thats actually uncomfortable for me... I hold at about mid exhale.. Dont smash your cheek against the stock too hard... Just enough to balance your eye to the scope.. This will introduce quite a bit of heartbeat error... squeeze the trigger with just the pad of your fingertip... wil a slow steady pull and let the shot come off as a surprise..

  • awesome gun. just scrap that scope and save up for a decent optic. when you sight in your new one or if you keep the old one set your zero to one inch high at 100 yards. this will give you a very good ballistics platform when reaching out further. this will allow you to shoot dead flat at 200 and then simply raise up one mil dot per 100 yards after.

  • You will enjoy this rifle and it's capabilities... It is has a 1 inch guarantee at a 100 yards with Federal Gold Match Ammo.. but reviews show that it can do sub MOA with match ammo. If it was my gun would not shot the Wolf ammo through it, but it's not my gun.... ha ha Lol. I don't know anything about the Wal-Mart scope being able to hold zero. I have a Vortex Viper PST Scope on my FNAR.... Congrats on your new toy.
