@nockuout1 thanks for your thoughts. I started fly fishing about a year and 7 months ago, this fish was caught three months after i started, so yes, I didn't know a lot about fly fishing...I broke the code for milkfish all alone though. I'm sure you were born perfect so you can criticize all you want. Three months into your fly fishing...what did you catch? I caught the hardest fish to catch on earth...you caught what? sorry? what was that??? I can't hear you...

ya, I only fished in creeks and lakes. Don't think there are any fish that are that strong in my waters. yea, I guess that is where the drag on the reel comes in.

Watched this vid 'cause I'm bout to eat one but don't know crap about milk fish. Honestly, when I used to flyfish, I only used the reel when I pack up and leave. I always pulled the string with my hand/fingers. Then again, that was freshwater and not salt. I guess the waves would tangle them up.

@MetallicAsian I think that largely depends on the fish you fish for. In saltwater, theres a lot of fish that would smoke your reel and burn backing. there are some freshwater fish that would be able to do this as well. like the ones in the amazon and thailand.

Theres no flyline in AUH i think, you can get it thru ocean active here in dubai (search for their website in google)...it wont be cheap though. Flyfishing isn't a cheap sport :(
