@Seedofwinter Where you there? Gates provide proof that it was his house and he lived there. It sounds like his think and feel his arrest was justifiable.

I love your lectures thus far Tim, but I think you're wrong about that one. Henry Louis Gates was very disrespectful.
However, maybe the disrespectful behavior towards white folks he has is because he grew up with people that have been abused by white people, or he has been accosted by a white person before.

@benympls So an structural injustice that targets a particular set of people gets explained by personal attitudes of the victims. Nazism gets explained by the greediness of jewish merchants and bankers. Gender injustice and rape gets explained because of the cloth the women wear and their "provocative attitude". Brilliant.

Way to misrepresent the entire Cambridge arrest. This is the STANDARD example of distorting the truth. Try reading both of their reports and sharing both sides to get the objective picture. And Obama should have just kept his mouth shut, it wasn't his concern.
