Granite Bay vs Pleasant Grove D1 Sac Joaquin Section Championship held on December 3, 2011. Amazing game on both sides of the ball by GB playing the game of their lives against the number one seed Eagles. Granite Bay won their first D1 Section and the 4th under head coach Ernie Cooper. #5 Briare had two TD catches from #18 QB Keeney along with #7 HB Bird 38 yard winning TD + another field goal by #20 Bermudez added up to 30 points, six more than Pleasant Grove making the final 30-24 in front of an impressive crowd at Hornet Stadium on the campus of Sacramento State. The Defense came up strong led by #4 Paulhus, #5 Briare, big #77 Andrews, #34 Hershberger, #6 Malamatenios, #20 Bermudez, #22 Grace #57 Milo and so many others who contributed in this win.
