Tripple Spring Damper

One mass and three spring dampers are used to create and Excel spirograph. Its an impressive demonstration of Excel used as a simulation tool. It was created by George Lungu.
This excel spreadsheet calculates the real time response of a mass supported by three springs with dampers. Offset the mass using the Set button then press the Start-Pause button. The dynamic position of the mass is calculated by numerical methods assuming a small time step. The springs are animated using an excel scatter chart and previous positions are shown with a trail line.

WARNING: Remember to switch off XLC automatic features before starting the simulation. It will slow you down.
