Why I wont donate my hair [bishonenrancher mirror]

As a fellow long-hair and tightlacer, we share a lot of common issues. I often get told I should cut my hair or donate it, the reasoning being simply that I happen to have long hair and should do it. My response is usually to ask why they haven't donated a kidney yet, since they happen to have two. In fact, part of the reason I have dyed streaks in my hair is to thwart askers (many places only accept virgin hair, and dyed or damaged hair is thrown out anyway, regardless of which donation place takes your hair).

I had meant to mirror this aaaages ago and just now realized I'd never gotten around to doing it. I figured now is a good time due to the influx of people subbing to me for my hair.

It is pathetic that anyone would look down on Lucy for not cutting and donating her long hair, or calling her selfish for not cowering to pressure to give away her hair! It's her hair. Everyone doesn't want short hair. I agree with thestigg61 that a wig can be purchased instead. It takes a lot less time than growing hair at least 8, 10, or 12 inches just to cut most of it off to donate. For those who donate because they want to, great. But, don't shame someone for not cutting off their hair!

The thing that will help these people is financial donations for research, not hair for wigs,you can bye very cheap , very good quality wigs form china, if you want to help a bald child bye them one of those wigs, its a no brainer.
