@MrNotgoth that's what it was supposed to do (leave a bitter taste). from the beginning of the series seele's intention was to evolve humanity by ending the world. What makes the series magnificent is that there is no happy ending unless people rebuild the walls of their heart and allow emotions like sadness and loneliness to exist.

Welp, world's f**ked. 3 Years too late, though. Damn unpunctual apocalypses.

@robokill387 ttgl is still retarded

@EndorphinSelig actually, if you pay attention to both, they are very similar in terms of story and themes.

The song always gets me depressed.

I understand that this anime was very unorthodox and artful in it's approach regarding psychological themes and problems, but the fact that the latter part of the series turned into this convoluted end-of-the-world scenario just left a bitter taste in my mouth.

@33k72 How else would the end it? With the instrumentality project failing? That would be anticlimatic.

@santiagowho Gorren lagan is still bullshit

@EndorphinSelig gurren lagaan was a good anime no need to call it weeaboos who compare it beacuase it make sense since both have a mental breakthrough and end up winning(somewhat in shinjis case)
I actually wish 2012 happens like this........
With Optimus Prime saying his famous Till all are one line.

@dynastyflygon
yes, penpen is the sole survivor of the third impact, and spends eternity ascending to godhood, where he creates the fourth impact and destroys the entire universe.
